Yes all of our stores provide convenient free parking on site.
-
How big are your largest machines?
Both our Wyalla and Westridge laundromats offer large capacity machines up to 18kg. These heavy duty machines can handle up to around 90 T-shirts, 10 pairs of jeans, or a full set of bedding, including a large duvet. Ideal for large families or washing bulkier items like thick blankets.
Our dryers are also designed to handle large loads. Ideal for drying bulky items such as blankets or doonas or combining several loads of laundry.
-
Can I use my own detergent?
Yes you can! Laundry powder is available for purchase in-store if you have left yours behind. Please note that the laundry powder dispenser only takes $1 Coins. A change machine that converts notes to $1 coins is available in-store.
-
How do I pay for a washer or dryer?
Our TangerPay payment kiosk gives you the option to pay by card. Just follow the easy directions on the screen.
You also have the option to use our orange NFC tap and go discs for mobile payment, or you can pay by $1 coin in the machines. All major cards are accepted. 💳 💵 📱
-
Can I wash bedding or rugs in the machines?
Absolutely! We have machines at each site made for large items. For best results always follow your item care instructions.
Please do not dry rugs in our dryers. Wash only. You may damage our dryers (and your rug)!
TIP: You should not wash rugs with rubber backing as they may break up during the wash.
-
Can I wash pet bedding?
Yes! 🐱🐶 Please only use the pet dedicated washer displaying the “Pet Only” signage. Please be mindful of other customers and to keep the area clean.
Unfortunately we don’t accept stable or kennel items.
-
Do your washers have different wash cycles?
All our washers have preset cycles to suit your laundry needs.
TIP: We recommend washing your clothes at the highest temperature compatible with the fabric.
Use less soap. Resist the temptation to add more soap because the machine looks bigger, as a front load washing machine uses half the usual amount of water and so needs half the usual amount of soap. Too much soap just creates suds that are difficult to remove and result in a poor wash result.
-
How do I report a broken machine or damage to the laundromat?
Any problems with machine malfunction should be reported to us at 1300 603 153.
You can also report non-urgent issues or give us feedback at our email support@studiolaundry.com.au. Please note the number of the broken machine (this number will be visible on the machine itself) and any error codes showing on the machine display. Please include these details in your email. Thank you for helping us provide the best service possible!
-
What happens if I can’t find some of my laundry after I get home? 😕
Lost items found in washers and dryers will be placed in our lost property bin located inside the laundromat. We'll hold them for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
TIP: Remember to check the machines carefully after use, including spinning the washer drum. If you realise you have left an item behind the best thing to do is return immediately to pick it up.
-
How come the washing didn't work? Some of my clothes didn't even get wet!
This is usually caused by overloading the washer. Occasionally when the washer is stuffed too full, water can’t circulate and some of your clothes remain dry 😓. Also make sure you are placing your detergent in the correct tray.
TIP: It will be faster and cheaper to use two washers instead of overloading one and having to go through the washing process again.
-
Why did my clothes take too long to dry/how can I dry a lot of laundry?
Overloading the dryer makes clothes dry more slowly because they need space to tumble. 😣
TIP: Using two dryers is faster and cheaper than overloading one. To dry a large load quickly and cheaply, separate light and heavy items into different dryers. When possible, choose dryers that have recently been used and are still warm. This will save you money. Tumble dry using the highest heat setting compatible with the fabric.
